CHRIS HORSES BAND NEW ALBUM: DEAD END & A LITTLE LIGHT
Chris Horses Band, a very young band from Treviso who made his debut with the album "Dead End & A Little Light".
Founded in 2018 by Cristian Secco, CHB is a mixture of southern, rock, blues, funk and a pinch of psychedelia for an explosive, intense and highly emotional sound cocktail. The 5 musicians who are part of it are a blend of numerous different influences that converge together in the name of the groove. Chris Horses is the undisputed leader, founder, guitarist and singer. He is called the "Cowboy of the Three Provinces" with southern rock in his soul and heavy metal blood in his veins. He is joined by the very young Mattia Rienzi, a talented guitarist strongly influenced by the blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the '70s fuzz rides, capable of producing a sound that goes hand in hand with that of Giulio Jesi, saxophonist, flutist and versatile keyboard player, lover Jazz and great American music.
All this with, behind it, a vigorous and prepared rhythmic section that sees Marco Quagliato on bass, from the funk nature mixed with the nuances of folk and the slap of metal that marries the percussion groove of Marco Tirenna, psychedelic musician and experimental. After numerous high-level experiences in the music field, in 2018 Cristian Secco decided to give birth to his very personal project. With months of work in the rehearsal room and on numerous stages in the Veneto, the understanding between the musicians has grown considerably and the overall sounds matured in a characteristic and immediately recognizable sound.
A year after the group was founded, the Chris Horses Band feels that the right time has come to release the debut album. In August the boys recorded the 8 songs that will make up this "Dead End & A Little Light" Guests were added to the quintet in the studio, such as the two choristers Daniela Boem and Diletta Pellizzer, the songwriter Edoardo Fusaro and the percussionist Gianni Bordin, who helped to give the album greater momentum, touching almost mystical sound territories. The result of all this is a sound that deliberately recalls that of the best American jam bands, imbued with groove and rhythm, which leaves a lot of room for the choral and dialogue between the various instruments. Tedeschi Trucks Band, Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, Neil Young, John Mayall, Funkadelic, Rage Against The Machine are just some of the references grafted onto this Chris Horses Band debut album.
"Dead End & A Little Light" seems to be a disc that leaves no room for doubt regarding the quality of this project which, surely, will also appeal to the foreign market.
