Here is the new single "Truth Of The Matter" by Sofie, out now on Stones Throw.
"Truth Of The Matter" is the second single from Sofie's solo project. The track comes with a video directed by Ross Harris and Folerio Milano, which portrays the lost love story between Gary Wilson and Sofie.
Vienna based musician, DJ and artist Sofie shares new single "Truth Of The Matter", out now on Stones Throw.
Sofie’s first solo single “99 Glimpses” was released in late 2019. Sofie is an NTS Radio resident and an original member of the Boiler Room crew. In 2016, she curated the compilation Sofie's SOS Tape for Stones Throw, which featured two tracks of her own in collaboration with Mndsgn.
“Truth Of The Matter” is the first song that Sofie wrote with lyrics, “The chords and lyrics came to me simultaneously and I couldn’t get them out of my head, so I sat down on this old Korg in my university’s basement and figured it out. It was probably inadvertently heavily influenced by my idols Todd Rundgren and Gary Wilson, so when Peanut Butter Wolf and Ross suggested Gary could be in the video, it was magic on the spot.”
